Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. Breakfast with Santa at the Forties Community Centre, 1787 Forties Road, New Ross from 8:00 to 11:00 am. Enjoy eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, toast, juice, tea/coffee. Adults $8, Children (12 & under) $4 and under 5 years are free. Santa will be here to meet with the children!
