About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Benefit Music Show for Mary Sawler at the Little Red School, Canaan from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Live music featuring Jim & Judy Manual, Cecil Poole & Mike Duffney (The Islanders) and Chicks Having Fun! There will be a bake table, raffles, 50/50, canteen and a donation jar. All proceeds for Mary Sawler who has terminal cancer to help with medical expenses.
