Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

BENEFIT HOCKEY GAME & CHINESE AUCTION for CHESTER PRO KIDS at the Chester Rink from 8:00 to 9:30 pm.  Come, watch and cheer as the Sir John A MacDonald High School Girls Hockey Team challenge the Walking Wounded Oldtimers from Chester.  FREE ADMISSION!  Chinese Auction – Chance to Win:  Sky Box Pass for 6 people to a Halifax Mooseheads Game (Saturday, March 16); NHL Legends Autographed Stick, Gift Cards, etc.  If you can’t attend the game but wish to participate in the Chinese Auction, items can be viewed, and tickets purchased during the day on Thursday, March 14 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Recreation Office upstairs in the Municipal Building, Chester (151 King Street), or anytime after 6:00 pm at the Rink.  Tickets:  $5.00 for 10 tickets.  For more info contact the Recreation Office 902-275-3490 or prokids@chester.ca.
