Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

The Basics with Lynda Shalagan at the Chester Art Centre (60 Queen Street) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The workshop will include basic drawing techniques with the grid, studies in value to create volume and depth, colour theory and mixing. Successful composition and the use of a view finder will be considered. Mediums will include pencil, charcoal, coloured pencil and/or watercolour.
