About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Colin Chen Art Auction Fundraiser in support of the QEII Thyroid Cancer Fund, QEII Orthopedic Robotics Program and the Chester Art Centre Organization. Artist Colin Chen is donating 100% of all funds raised. Join us in helping to make his dream come true! Opening Reception is November 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Chester Art Centre, 60 Queen Street. Auction in-person viewing & bidding on Friday, November 19 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
