Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Annual Sand Sculpting Sizzler at Bayswater Beach Provincial Park from 12:00 to 3:00 pm with the Municipality of Chester Recreation & Parks Summer Staff.  All ages welcome (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).  Raindate: August 4. We want you to show off your incredible skills at Bayswater Beach in our annual sand sculpting competition. We’ve seen turtles, mini-golf courses, and beautifully architected castles in previous years, and we want your team to take your place in the record books. Bring your buckets, shovels and all the tools you want! We will have prizes for the top three teams as voted on by our judges!
