About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Chester Municipal Heritage Society Annual Prime Rib Dinner Fundraiser – Enjoy Prime Rib Medium, served with Roasted Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Gravy and Horseradish, Yorkshire Pudding followed by Chocolate Cake. Prepared by Chef Tom Connors & team. Take Away Meal $45 per person. Please confirm your order by April 5. Pick up at the Chester Legion from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Advance ticket purchase required – limited quantities available.
