About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Annual Halloween Haunted Trail

Annual Halloween Haunted Trails at the District #1 Community Centre, Blandford in the upper field from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Experience the scary side of the Community Centre trail. Please no lining up early. Note that the trail will be closed for public walking that afternoon. Event may not be suitable for the very young. Raindate: October 28. Admission is by donation. To ensure that all enjoy the experience, please keep your flashlights and cellphone lights off.
