About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Annual Fundraiser Lobster or Brisket Supper at the East Chester Recreation Hall (3292 Hwy 3) from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. Eat-in or Take-out. Lobster Supper $35 includes: 1.25-pound Lobster, Creamy Potato Salad, Zesty Coleslaw, Dinner Roll, Melted Butter, and a Delicious Dessert. Brisket In A Bun $35 includes: Smoked Brisket (served in a Fresh Bun), Creamy Potato Salad, Zesty Coleslaw and a Delicious Dessert. To pre-book text or call: 902-275-8101 or 902-277-1104.
