Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

30th Annual Blandford Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair at the District #1 Community Centre (30 Firehall Road) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Admission:  Adults $2 and Children under 12 years are free.  ($2 admission includes 1 ticket for Grand Prize AND 1 ticket for the hourly draw – determined by time of admission).  Door Prize & Hourly Draws.  Canteen offering lunch plates, soft drinks, tea and coffee will be open on site.  Offering unique Hand-Crafted Works from Artisan vendors: Christmas decorations, jams, jellies, food baskets, skin care, wooden and metal crafts, pottery, paintings, publisher of books, baked goods, woolens, woven and sewn items, clothing, seaside crafts and decorations, framed photos, souvenirs, and knick-knacks!  Please come out and support our Blandford Community Centre, and your very talented area Artisans!  For more info call 902-228-2668 or email: district1blandfordreccentre@gmail.com.
