About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Join Carmen Legge for a two-day semi-private blacksmith workshop on February 22nd and 23rd. The workshop will begin with an introduction, followed by hands-on blacksmithing activities. All tools and materials provided. This workshop is semi-private and limited to two participants. You can register online or visit our gift shop in person.
